Spreading Christmas Joy This Year

This Christmas, we have different opportunities for you, your family or your group to help those in need. Getting involved with Hearts’ holiday outreach can be a meaningful way to make a positive impact this Christmas season.

Bake Cookies

Calling all bakers! We need 300 dozen cookies! We’re asking that you bake your family’s favorite Christmas cookies. These cookies will be distributed to our homeless brothers and sisters through Hearts’ Mobile Soup Kitchen, our homeless shelter partnerships and the annual Christmas Eve dinner; all during the week of Christmas.

Volunteer

We have several dates to sign up yourself, your family, or your group. Volunteers can pack stockings with care packages for our homeless brothers and sisters, distribute them during Hearts’ Mobile Soup Kitchen before Christmas or meal prep in our commercial kitchen for our homeless shelter partnerships and Christmas Eve dinner.

Donate

By donating just $15, you will allow Hearts to purchase toiletries, warm gloves, and a winter hat that will be assembled into care packages. These care packages will be placed in stockings and will be distributed with prepared meals for the homeless this Christmas season. It is so important for the homeless to receive these items during the harsh winter months.

Our goal is to provide this Christmas blessing for 200 of our homeless friends here in Buffalo. The impact it has on the homeless community, serving a hot Christmas meal with Christmas cookies and care packages with toiletries, is truly a blessing. Not only will this impact Hearts’ outreach programs and the people we serve through the Hearts Mobile Soup Kitchen, but it also help those during Code Blue of Buffalo and people staying at local homeless shelters. With your help, we will be able to provide the homeless a dignified meal and joy during the holiday season.

We are excited to share that a $30,000 grant was awarded by the East Hill Foundation to Hearts for the Homeless® for the Hearts Building Rehab & Restoration Project at 890 Tonawanda Street Buffalo, N.Y. 14207. Repairing the brick and painting the building did not only improve the look of the building but it will go a long way towards preserving the structure of the building for decades to come.
