On Our Hearts
“…He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.” ~Acts 14:17
As the spring rains come, they give us rich and lush surroundings provided from heaven above. Hearts is thankful for all of God’s provisions. We are also grateful for being able to provide for others through God’s provisions to us – to those in need in the community and those who are homeless.
God’s provisions come in many forms including food, supplies, volunteers, and donors. Every department at Hearts is affected by each of these components and in turn they allow Hearts to impact every man, woman, and child with a need that comes into our sphere of influence. Throughout this month’s newsletter are examples of those who we’ve impacted or have impacted us.
Hearts Mobile Soup Kitchen has been impacting the poor & chronic homeless population since 1990 by providing take away bags filled with a hot meal, sandwich, dessert, and drink.
Thrift Shop News
Hearts is providing a new atmosphere in our thrift shop by changing around the physical locations of some of the departments. These recent renovations also included a fresh coat of paint in some areas. Lots of new merchandise has been added as well.
Come in and see the changes!

Hearts Mobile Food Pantry
Although we had hoped the weather would have cooperated, our Mobile Food Pantry that is usually set up outside by this time of the year, had to be set up in Hearts’ garage. Hearts Mobile Food Pantry is held every 4th Wednesday of the month at Hearts Outreach Center at 890 Tonawanda St., Riverside, from 1pm to 3pm (sign-in at 12:30pm). Families in our community can come as often as we have them as a supplement to our onsite food pantry.
