Moving Forward With Purpose: Reflecting On The Past, Looking To The Future
Thank you for being a part of this ministry. Your prayers and your gifts of service and resources are greatly appreciated. God has used your support for Hearts to reach many in our community who are in need; including Shawna. While homeless, seeking food and clothing, Shawna started visiting the Mobile Soup Kitchen regularly. Shawna shared that the Hearts volunteers taught her to open up to others and ask for help. This led her to a newfound trust and confidence which she used to seek out help from other organizations and programs to get off the street and into housing. You can read more of Shawna’s story in the September 2022 newsletter posted on our website.
In 2023, we were able to expand our efforts to help more people like Shawna through the Hearts Food Pantry Express and Hearts’ second Thrift Store location at 2217 Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda, which will contribute resources to help those in need.
As we turn our sights to the year ahead, we can’t help but feel optimistic about all the lives that will be changed with your partnership. Please help us continue our mission in 2024 by joining us on this exciting journey. Let’s make a difference together!
“While volunteering at Hearts you meet people who are that lowest point they have ever been in their life and give them back just little bit of dignity that they desperately need” |
“We’re considered the city of good neighbors and if you think about the work that Hearts is doing it’s encouraging to see”
