The Importance of Dignified Service

God has made it abundantly clear that He has called us all to lead lives of service. As Christians, it is imperative that we offer dignified service to all those we reach. Dignified service implies that we honor the dignity and value of each person we serve. Not only do we extend this kind of joyful service to those we help, we also offer dignified service to our volunteers and staff members when they are in need.

“…whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, … just as the Son of Man (Jesus) did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as ransom for many…” Matthew 20:26, 28

That is why it is our mission to feed the poor and homeless with profound spiritual motivation. Our mobile soup kitchen offers nourishing food, as well as winter clothing, pertinent information regarding area services, companionship, and hope for the future. This mission expands now to include our new food pantry, Hearts Harvest Food Pantry, and the many partnerships that have been formed in supplying food and service to other agencies so that we may reach more people in need.

We serve as a team within the organization by offering assistance to each other, and stepping in when someone is overburdened or in need of help. We carry this mindset to our outreach by understanding that those we serve are overburdened with life’s challenges, and need to survive. We serve in a way that shows love and kindness and allows those we help to maintain their dignity.

If you are interested in helping us continue our mission and offering dignified service here in our local community, consider making a donation or signing up to volunteer with us!
