Hearts’ Commercial Kitchen Dedication Ceremony
On October 30, 2024, a significant event took place at the Hearts Campus: a dedication ceremony organized by Hearts for the Homeless®. The occasion was marked to celebrate the unveiling of the recently renovated commercial kitchen. This upgrade in facilities reflects our ongoing commitment to serving the community, as the revamped kitchen will undoubtedly enhance our ability to provide more meals for those in need. This step forward aligns perfectly with our mission to feed the homeless and chronic poor, and is a testament to the continual efforts and dedication of the Hearts for the Homeless® team.
We extended an invitation to everyone who played a part in making this project a reality. Our generous sponsors, whose contributions were instrumental, were present. Some of our dedicated volunteers, who put in countless hours of work, were also there. Hearts’ board members, whose guidance and leadership steered the project to success, were in attendance. Our vendors, who supplied us with the necessary goods and services, came to share in the joy. Together, we gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion, a testament to our collective effort and dedication.
Guest speakers were:
- Frank A. DiMaria, Hearts Board Member & CEO, Frank’s Basement Systems
- Rick Izzo, Hearts Board Member & President, Superior Auto Sales & Service
- Pastor Edwin Perez, Lockport Campus Pastor, The Chapel
As a gesture of Hearts’ appreciation to our donors, they were presented with a plaque for their contribution and support towards the Hearts Commercial Kitchen renovation project.

After closing remarks, there was a celebratory reception with light food and refreshments and attendees were able to take home a Hearts 2024 Commercial Kitchen Renovation cutting board.
Because of this renovation, the Hearts Commercial Kitchen has the potential to provide more meals to more community members in need. We stepped out in faith to take on a significant kitchen renovation project that will benefit the ministry and community long into the future.
