Coming Together to Promote Life Saving Programs

To kick off the last month of summer, Hearts for the Homeless® attended the Buffalo Wellness Expo hosted by MHEP (Mental Health Empowerment Project) on Thursday, August 1st, at the Downtown Buffalo Central Library. We were one of many vendors onsite promoting resources that benefit physical, mental, and emotional well being.

There were free massages available to attendees and local organizations providing information about area services.

Hearts was thankful to be invited to this event where we shared with the public about our feeding programs, specifically our Mobile Soup Kitchen meal services as we serve meals just outside the doors of the library 5 nights each week.

Additionally, we also had a great time meeting with the other agencies and organizations; some we have great relationships with already and we made some new friends too. Everyone was so supportive and appreciative of the work that Hearts is doing in the WNY area and it was great to be a part of an event where everyone has the same mission in mind: serving the community and strengthening those who need support.
