Recycling Clothes, Restoring Lives®
Looking for a convenient way to donate your gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories to a good cause? Consider donating your items in our distinctive red bins located at over 400 locations! Our donation bins are conveniently placed in the heart of your community, making it easy to find a clothing donation drop box near you. Simply drive by and drop off your items at any time.
Every donation, no matter how small, goes a long way in supporting our mission, where we feed the poor and homeless and work to maintain and expand our outreach programs. Plus, using our clothing donation drop box program is a cost-effective way for us to raise funds and provide essential services to those in need.
We accept a wide range of items in our bins for clothing, including gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories that are clean, dry, and odorless. Even items that are no longer wearable or usable can be donated, which go towards our textile recycling program. Please be mindful not to overstuff the clothing bins, as it can damage the items inside and make it difficult for others to donate.
Make a difference in someone's life today - drop off your donations at one of our donation bins near you and help us change the lives of those in need.
List of Acceptable Materials
Even clothes and textiles which are no longer wearable or useable can still be donated! Rather than putting them in the trash, they can be brought to a donation bin. The following items can be donated in any condition (torn, worn, stained, missing buttons, broken zippers, shoes without matches, etc.) as long as they are clean, dry, and odorless:
Anything Dirty
Anything Damp
Anything with an odor

Hearts for the Homeless® is an active member of the Western New York Coalition for Donated Goods. The coalition is made up of not-for-profit clothing recyclers headed by Erie (NY) County and the City of Buffalo's recycling departments. The not-for-profits equally split any-and-all donations collected at Coalition sponsored events so that they can continually offer their expertise to the general public. Educating the public about the recycling of textiles is the main goal of this organization.
